Tenzin Dolker is a Tibetan, born and raised in a Tibetan refugee camp in South India. She is a self-taught photographer, entrepreneur, performing artist, and avid traveler.
Dolker completed her Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Pune University, India, in 2009 and moved to Dharamshala, where she worked as an activist while exploring poetry, performing art, and photography. Photography became an obsession after she migrated to the United States with her husband in 2015.
From exploring small towns in Oklahoma to walking the streets of New Orleans and wandering expansive landscapes, her camera became both witness and statement to the life she was transitioning into. Based in New Orleans, Dolker frequently travels for photography projects and maintains ties to India, residing between the two countries.
In 2019, she played the lead role in the Tibetan feature film The Sweet Requiem, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, demonstrating her versatility as an artist.
