Tenzin Dolker is a freelance photographer based out of New Orleans and working everywhere

 

Tenzin Dolker is a Tibetan, born and raised in a Tibetan Refugee Camp in South India. She is a self-taught photographer, entrepreneur, performing artist, and avid traveler.

Dolker completed her Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Pune University, India in 2009 and moved to Dharamshala where she worked as an activist while also exploring different art mediums such as poetry, performing art, and photography. However, Photography became an obsession when Dolker migrated to the US with her husband in 2015.

From exploring small towns in Oklahoma to walking around the streets of New Orleans, and wandering through the unending landscape, photography became her witness and a statement to the life she was transitioning into. Dolker is based out of New Orleans, the US but often travels for photography projects. In 2019, Dolker also played the lead role in the Tibetan feature film, The Sweet Requiem(premiered at TIFF), proving her versatility as an artist. She resides in India as well as the US, currently living in New Orleans.
